Flora Détraz

Flora Détraz is a choreographer and performer with both a ballet and literature background. She took a course at the Centre Chorégraphique National Lyon, under Maguy Marin, and completed her choreographic studies at Pepcc, Forum Dança, in Lisbon.
She had the opportunity to meet such artists as Marlene Monteiro Freitas, Vera Mantero, Lia Rodrigues, Meredith Monk, Loïc Touzé, Meg Stuart, Jonathan Burrows and Diane Broman, who all influenced her own work.
 
In 2013, she started making her own pieces, questionning the relationship between voice and movements: Peuplements (2013), Gesächt (2014), Tutuguri (2016), Muyte Maker (2018).
 
As a performer, she works with the choreographers Marlene Monteiro Freitas, Miguel Pereira, Laurent Cebe, Sara Anjo. She is currently performing in Bacchae, prelude for a purge by Marlene Monteiro Freitas and Sacro by Sara Anjo. She is also choreographer-assistant for the piece Anarchismos by Pablo Fidalgo.
